All of us want a certain look. We crave a specific face, hair color, or physique. This is only natural considering what we're taught. Images are shown to us early on, which depict what is attractive and what isn't. Some of this is learned and some is natural. As we all know, a muscular man is preferred over a fat man. One represents strength and protection, while the other symbolizes a failure to exercise and diet properly. This is why virtually all men crave a ripped body. They want that physique they see in fashion magazines or "Men's Health." It's only natural. Now, are you one of the guys who go after it, or are you still scarfing down cheese burgers? When exercising it's crucial to focus on your whole body. I am guilty, like many individuals are, of focusing on just part of it. I am a man and want to build my upper body. This is fairly common, no doubt. I don't see too many guys in the local gym working their legs. We men want buff torsos and bulging biceps. That's just the way we think. It's what society has deemed attractive and manly. It wasn't until recently that I started a more grueling chest exercise. It was high time I formed some pectorals.

Have you ever considered beefing-up? Okay, for those of you who have no clue what that means, I just want to assure you that it has nothing to do with beef products and cooking. By beefing-up I mean getting stacked, ripped and totally solid. You know, gain some significant muscle weight. If you are a male, then you can be certain that this will impress the ladies. Hey, I'm not just saying that either. The truth is that most women find muscular men attractive. Within moderation of course. I'm not telling you to get as buff as the Incredible Hulk himself. I'm just saying that 20 pounds of extra muscle can go a long ways. I recall when I was skinny back in high school. I was glad to pack on 15 pounds of pure muscle as an adult. I didn't want to keep a child's body forever. Oh, and we shouldn't forget about the women body building. I'm sure some ladies could use some extra brawn.

You always hear folks complaining about how difficult it is to lose weight. If they only knew how hard it was for us slim folks to gain weight. Or actually I should specify; gain muscle. After all, that's the only weight we're typically interested in gaining. Hopefully no one is striving to gain fat. That's just weird. Anyway, believe it or not, we skinny folks have a horrible time trying to pack on the pounds. It takes a great deal of eating, muscle building workouts, and protein supplements. It can actually get rather annoying if you ask me. I recall when I first started muscle building workouts and protein shakes. I was not so happy with the whole ordeal. However, I was determined to pack on the pounds.
