Different races and religions make the world an interesting place and we should be all the richer for them. Unfortunately, they can also be divisive. Interracial relationships have always been fraught with difficulties, due to the reaction of prejudiced people and conflicts within the relationship itself.

Some countries forbid intimate relations between different races, or it's at least frowned upon by society. It would have been unthinkable in the segregated southern states of America and the apartheid regime of South Africa. A white person even socializing with a black person would have been considered a traitor. Black families would think it safer to stay on their side of the divide.

There are nuances to our crazy and hectic world on a daily basis. Some are good, and some are not so good. The trick is to focus on the ones that are good and take full advantage of them. One of the largest ones I can think of is the World-Wide-Web. Now, don't get me wrong. I am totally aware that not all aspects of cyberspace are innocuous and beneficial. There are indeed some malicious factors to consider. Weirdoes and criminals trying to get in touch with your children being a major one. Regardless, there are infinite wonders to explore as well. Take the search capabilities for example. This blows my mind. You want to know how to find someone? That's easy! Just get on your laptop and go to town. Now, I don't mean literally head into town; I mean take advantage of the search engines.

“Opposites attract” is a law of attraction, at least where electromagnetism is concerned. But are there laws about attraction between two people? “In a world that is full of strangers” as a line in a famous song of the 1980’s goes, is there a clear set of rules that allows two people to fall for each other?

An excellent and gentle man of my acquaintance has said, "When fifty-one per cent of the voters believe in cooperation as opposed to competition, the Ideal Commonwealth will cease to be a theory and become a fact."

That men should work together for the good of all is very beautiful, and I believe the day will come when these things will be, but the simple process of fifty-one per cent of the voters casting ballots for socialism will not bring it about.
